Python Developer Job Description:

We are recruiting a global digital team to build a suite of Digital Transformation projects within the construction industry. This involves the delivery of new ways of working and digital products to support them, based around our unique Data and Information Assets. We will provide amazing solutions to surface and visualise our data for our internal clients, allowing them access to historical and up to date information to help them improve their assumptions and speed their processes. This will be a best of breed solution using technology such as graph databases, document stores and other relevant modern technologies to provide the information they need fast.

The tech stack is a lightweight feature-rich single page app interface in Angular, with a backend API service in Python. We are an Azure house, and prefer to use the best Azure services possible before we try to write our own - we have access to the coolest Azure tech from Cosmos DB to the Container Registry. Behind the scenes is a data lake, ingesting data through ELT from a variety of sources.

As an Agile practice, our principles are in line with the Agile Manifesto - we fail early, learn fast and we deliver business value early. Where we fail we learn, and make sure we don't make that mistake again. We take Agile seriously, and have in place a solid Product Ownership team, and a management structure that really understands the benefits of Agile software development. We love Continuous Delivery, Continuous Improvement.

Our management team has a wealth of experience delivering solutions: Our Development Director has a track record in building happy teams of productive developers in several industries such as Travel, Print and Marketing, focussing on individual learning goals, Our Global Head of Digital has years of experience managing teams delivering global scale Data Warehouse solutions for many blue-chip end-users. Together we are a force to be reckoned with.

    About You

You are an Agile-aware data-centric developer with a grounding of Devops, although you need not have been a Devops engineer before.
