Product Owner Job Description:

You'll be responsible for the supply of all changes to the large and complex products within the product group including software development services, infrastructure changes, service changes and technical debt for the platforms and systems in the scope of the role. The Product Owner is a key point of contact for stakeholders across the organisation. You'll need experience of technical leadership, leading and coaching teams and ready to provide strategic vision and to help shape the future BTS product and service provision for the critical IT infrastructure, systems, platforms and applications.

We are looking for Product Owners, Technical Services Technical Specialist for the following:

 Investigations & Intelligence Product Group

 Infrastructure Product Group

 EUC Product Group

 ERP Product Group

Key roles & responsibilities:

 Delivering change and operational services for products within the relevant product group.

 Estimating resource, cost and time requirements to make changes to relevant products, feeding into project estimates and shaping prioritization for the relevant products across the portfolio in collaboration with key stakeholders within the product group.

 Delivering technical and service solutions to meet agreed acceptance / definition of ready criteria for identified requirements, through the application of agile and DevOps practices.

 Management of the Product budgets, and recharging of actual work completed to sponsoring divisions and projects  Setting and tracking performance against Key Performance Indicators

 Ensuring the Product team's compliance with relevant governance requirements

Substantial experience in leading internal and external technical teams to deliver IT change and / or run capabilities.  Substantial experience in product architecture, innovation, risk & issue management, quality assurance and the business change requirements to introduce changes to IT products


 Substantial experience and or knowledge of service management, incident and problem management to a diverse business

 Substantial in estimating resource, cost and time requirements to deliver activities across a suite of products and / or projects

 Technical knowledge and exposure to relevant technical environments, industry and business practices

 Effective influencing and negotiating at Exec level, communicating explicit and implicit trade-offs that impact the enterprise.

 Credible leader, able to adapt style to build strong relationships with senior leaders, collaborating across the organisation and use various techniques to facilitate innovation

 Strategic and pragmatic thinker, focused on outcomes and the bigger picture with the confidence to engage constructively to challenge established approaches. Desirable

 Generalist knowledge of enterprise-scale application architecture  Generalist knowledge and exposure to agile practices

 Able to generate enthusiasm for and drive innovation internally and externally in relevant product groups' software / platforms /systems, providing cutting edge, industry relevant thought leadership for the product

 Coaching skills, able to coach peers and teams of specialists in Product management methodologies.

 Experience of managing applications / systems from a development and operational service perspective. With budget responsibility of up to 15m (run and change).
