LEAD DEVELOPER (C#)

Software Engineering Lead - .NET

Our client is a leading bio-metric business based in Liverpool who are currently looking to augment their software engineering team with an experienced Engineering Lead.

The business itself has a software engineering team split across a variety of their products including a testing community of practice. The company has been highly successful in intercepting a number of different industry sectors with its products including Government, Construction industries as well as aviation. The team size is around 20 with a number of different disciplines including Software Engineers, Designers & Testers - the wider business has around 80-100 employees.

In respects to the culture; the business has a vibrant office with easy access to the founders of the company, flexible working arrangements with a family feel.

From a role perspective; the successful technical lead would take a technical leadership role within their development function, deliver the high level of architectural vision, design and ensure that they fit the overall architectural vision. The technical lead would also be responsible of the delivery of multiple projects within that product team, lead & manage the team where required and ensure that the team delivers the best performance. Outside of these duties; it is expected that the Lead Developer would also take accountability of the coaching & development of their development team as well as leading sprints / stand ups for the team.

From a technical perspective - the client are a Microsoft house and the role also requires someone to mix their hands on software engineering capabilities with the line / leadership tasks above. Experience with the following technologies & experiences would be preferred:

  • Extensive experience with C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core

  • Experienced working with distributed architecture & experience of delivering to Microsoft serer environments

  • Experience of the design of database systems

  • Any App experience (Android, iOS) would be beneficial.

  • Experience working & delivering within an Agile environment

    Additionally experience would be preferred:

  • Cloud experience (AWS)

  • Prior management experience

  • Linux / Raspbian solution development

  • Design of data warehouses

  • Experience working with embedded systems

  • Any exposure or experience working within the biometrics industry
