Role Summary

Purpose of this role is to provide Lead support team for applications and solutions within a project specific initiative. You will be responsible for leading a team of  2nd and 3rd level technical support staff for customers. 80% of work will be production support, with remaining 20% supporting development activities and should be able guide the team.


    • Technical support of application to ensure highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our internal and external clients.
    • Required to support multiple applications in production.
    • Guide team in technical issues.
    • Report KPI metrics and identifying scope of improvement
    • Handling escalation, managing stakeholders


    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering
    • Knowledge working with extremely sensitive data sets and data security solutions to support these data sets.
    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years in SQL Server and SSIS echo system.  
    • Proficient in TSQL and .NET preferable.
    • Good knowledge of SQL Scripting and Windows OS.
    • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server architecture and administration and support of the environment and running SQL jobs and workflows.
    • Prior working background of working with infrastructure projects and some networking knowledge would be preferable.
    • Involved in problem determination using application and system error logs.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Good communication and presentation skills - constant communication, regular update and follow-ups with various stake holders.
    • Good understanding of production support process.
    • Ability to listen to team members and communicate instructions effectively.
    • Quick learner, self-motivated , should have ability to lead and direct team members.
    • Should have ability to take proactive steps in managing problems.
    • Able to motivate and inspire team members.
    • Encourage creativity and constant improvement.


    Must have

    • Programming subject matter expertise in: JAVA,SCALA & SQL   
    • Full understanding of Relational Database Management Systems: General concept to any relational database and ETL
    • Spark, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Oozie, HDFS, Hive Cloudera CDH.
    • Operating Systems – Windows Server 2012, Linux Red Hat 5x (and above) familiarity.
    • Good documenting skills
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
