IT Support Engineer (2 Days WFH Per Week) Job Description:

As part of the IT support, the End Client requires a dedicated IT Engineer to provide IT support for users on-site for 3 days per week, with remote support for 2 days per week.

The IT Engineer to work independently but reporting to an End Client nominated supervisor who will prioritise activities on a business need basis. The IT Engineer will be responsible for site wide IT support including users, infrastructure and telephone system.

Scope of Work:

  • Support users with daily IT issues regarding PCs, Printers, Email, Antivirus, Office applications, Third party applications, network devices etc.

  • General Server Administration (creating new users, mailboxes, setting up accounts, antivirus, malware detection etc.

  • Monitoring the IT infrastructure, Internet connections, Network, Firewall, Hosts, Servers, SANS, Switches, Access points etc.

  • Monitoring and addressing system, firewall and AV alerts.

  • Monitoring and patching updates for Servers, Users and hardware.

  • Management of the Office 365 environment.

  • Management and coordination of third party IT hardware and software suppliers.

  • Monitoring and testing backups.

  • Amending phone system changes, name changes, extension configurations.

  • Assisting with Provisioning, Budget, Policies and Procedures.

  • Assisting with the continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.

  • Keeping track of change control requests and documentation.

  • Periodic auditing of IT systems, ensuring security and compliance.
